Lonely Bees’ Club is a minimal, functional object, dedicated to city life, in the hope of creating small urban centers that mix with ours, in a broader and less anthropocentric conception of life. Lonely Bees’ Club is a shelter for solitary bees that takes full advantage of the 20x20x10cm zero shape, designed to work vertically via a modular stackable system.
It protects and creates nests via tunnels, which create a decorative pattern and extend on three of the four sides, vary from 4mm to 16mm in diameter, and are up to 19cm deep, to be habitable by the various breeds of these city insects.
They are closed to avoid exposing the bees and their larvae to the elements and predators.
